The Company
Corte Scaletta was born in a family of wine growers for generations. It’s a farm in Marcellise that from 2011 produces quality wines respecting the unique characteristics of Valpolicella Doc. Corte Scaletta comes from a strong sense of belonging to this generous valley and grows over time with the technique and commitment invested to keep bottled spices and the traditional perfumes. That's how our wine becomes pure expression of the territory.
From the vineyard to the cellar
Our vines, protected by the mountains and hills which mitigate the climate, wind through Marcellise and around the Musella estate, in an environment which is still uncontaminated.
For our vineyards, we have chosen the guyot training system from which we obtain a low yield of grapes per plant to better express the characteristics of the autochthonous varieties of Corvina, Corvinone and Rondinella which give rise to Valpolicella DOC Superiore and Amarone della Valpolicella DOCG wines. We also grow a small vineyard of Cabernet Sauvignon for single-variety vinification.
In our vineyards, wild grasses are a resource that help to create a complete, balanced environment. The grass between the rows is only cut occasionally, while under the vines it is cut with a special machine, enabling us to avoid the use of chemical herbicides.

We take care of our vineyards, select the best grapes and harvest them by hand.
From the cellar to the bottle
In our cellar we vinify exclusively our grapes with production techniques that are attentive to tradition and quality. With natural drying and soft working of the skins, we obtain the full expression of the aromatic compounds. We are scrupulously attentive to all the phases of production, without allowing the wine-making process to leave its mark on the wine.
